TGIF

Yes, thank goodness it is Friday.  Work has been dragging this week.  So I took Ella to the classes at Romp n roll this week.  She had a great time.  I had planned on booking her party to the theme of the princess class but once we walked in and she saw all of the gym toys (that are so colorful) she was very interested in them… so I think it would be best to go with the normal party that they have.  They have a ton of slides and tunnels, and a moon-bounce, a disco ball for the kids to dance and they have a bubble machine.  Their are two instructors assigned to the party and they take care of everything from serving the food to cleaning up and playing withe the kids.  The only thing I need to worry about is bringing food and treat bags.  The kids will also get a pass to come back and try a free class.

Ella really enjoyed both classes and is excited to go back.  I have included a pic of her at the Princess class and also one at the Art class.

We are going to a birthday party tomorrow at a Pottery place.  Ella and I have never been to one of those before so it should be fun.  We have another birthday party to go to next weekend.  They are have a mobile petting zoo at that party.  We were supposed to go to the park next Saturday after dance.  We were going to meet some other mom’s from my mom’s group.  Some of them are professional photographers and they were going to give us all some tips on how to take better pictures.  So I was really looking forward to that, but I am sure Ella would rather go to a party, eat cake and see animals!    Well I am going to go for now.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thankful

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.  There is no better time than right now to be happy.  We should remember every day to be thankful for what we have. I have so much to be thankful for.

God:  God is so good to me.  He has blessed me with so much.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My daughter:  I love her so much that I truly think my heart could just burst sometimes.  She is my pride and joy.

My Husband:  I love him so much.  It is incredible to have such a connection with someone.  He is my best friend and without him I would be lost.

Our house:  It may not be my dream home, but it is our house and I am very thankful to have a roof over my head.

My job:  I know I complain about it all the time, but I do enjoy it (most of the time) and I am thankful to be able to work.

My Family:  There are so many people that I do not get to see often enough.  I am very thankful for all of them.  I am especially thankful for my Nannie.  I truly wish I would have kept in better touch with her when I lived in California, but since I have moved back she has become  one of my best friends and we talk all the time.  I love our phone calls.  I am also very thankful for my extended family, my in-laws are great.  They are so good to us.

My animals:  Even though one is a gimp retard sometimes… just kidding, I seriously have the best dog ever.  She is so sweet and so good with Ella.  Meowbert (Toasty) as Ella would say, is not so bad either!

Nice weekend

Filed under: Uncategorized — by caoaks @ 7:55 pm

How was everyone’s weekend? We had a nice weekend. I finished shopping for the majority of Ella’s summer clothes. That was fun! Gotta love cute little girl’s outfits. I also made some hairbows to match them.

Saturday morning I took Ella to dance, Saturday night I went to Hobby Lobby, Sam’s club, and Kohl’s by myself. It was nice getting out and looking around. Today Ella and I went to Target. I swear I think it was my fate to hit something on the way there and back. On the way there a huge bird, I am talking the size of a full grown eagle flew in front of my car. Then a boston terrier jumped out in front of me. On the way back there were three goats on the road. Thank god nothing happened while I had Ella in the car. She would have really been scared.

Oh and about my car, I am loving my new car. I just recently traded in my silver 06 Nissan Altima and got an 08 White honda civic. I wanted a smaller, compact car that would be a little better on gas. I love it. I just got gas for the second time and on my first tank I drove right at 400 miles. I think that is pretty good, I think… it sounds good anyway.

So for the rest of today we are just being lazy, cleaning the house, doing laundry. Jeff got up early and went fishing, so he is taking a nap right now. Ella is playing with her dress up dresses and is walking around right now playing Cinderella. I was really hoping to get some flowers and plant them today… but I checked the city’s website and we are still under level 3 water restrictions, so until I can water what I am buying I guess there is no point.

Notice the little bit of belly sticking out…

Here we go…

Filed under: Uncategorized — by caoaks @ 7:41 pm

Okay so I am new to this blog thing so it may appear that I do not know what I am doing… which is probably true about 50% of the time!  Anyway I am excited to begin this and I really hope that I don’t begin slacking on it.  We will see how it goes.

So April is going to be a busy month.  We have a ton going on.  Birthday’s, parties, classes.  Ella is going to some classes at a new place opening in Harrisburg called Romp n Roll.  We are trying out a “Princess” class and a “Me and Mommy” art class.   I am excited to see how they go.  Based on the description of the Princess class, it sounds like it would be the perfect place to have a birthday party.  So I spoke with the owner about it and she said she would be happy to have a party like that.  So if all goes well at the class, more than likely we will have Ella’s 4th birthday party there.  I’m sure the fact that I am planning her birthday party about 5 months in advance may seem a little crazy… but hey… at least that gives me plenty of time to think about party favors and food etc.  I think we will have the princess party with her friends and then have a huge cookout/birthday party for the family.

I cannot believe my baby is going to be 4 years old.  It honestly breaks my heart to see how fast she is growing up.  It is so exciting to see her grow and learn but at the same time, I yearn to hold her in my arms for hours and sing to her and kiss her all day long.  Awww that is one thing that I could go on and on about.  tear….
